Cover Reveal // The Night Girl

Blog entry to reveal the book cover of Toronto novelist James Bow's new adult title, The Night Girl, releasing from REUTS Publications on September 10th, 2019.

Ah, yes, smell that? Fall is in the air. Strangely, this often means the start of an urban fantasy binge-fest for our editors and staff (blame it on the proliferation of fall-time settings in our favorite paranormal novels, shows, and films, perhaps?), and this year is no exception. We’ve got three new urban fantasy titles headed your way soon, the first of which is one we’re gleefully revealing to you today.

J.M. Frey (author of The Skylark’s Saga and The Accidental Turn series) called this one, “A charming urban fairy tale about tolerance, acceptance, and discovering the wonders that may just be hidden in plain sight.” And Arthur Slade (author of Amber Fang) said, “It’s an excellent fantasy adventure packed with humor, unforgettable characters, and more twists and turns than an underground amusement ride. You’ll never look at a gargoyle in the same way. Or the city of Toronto. So much fun!”

Excited yet? If not, then check out this little number, courtesy of our resident cover guru, Ashley Ruggirello:

How you can say that doesn’t look like fun? The official back cover copy and purchase links will be available shortly, and Perpetua’s tale will be storming onto shelves September 10th, 2019, but don’t worry, you can add the book to your Goodreads TBR today:

If you’re local to the Portland, OR metropolitan area, then good news! James and The Night Girl will be making their first post-launch debut at Rose City Comic Con, thanks to the generous folks at Canada Council of the Arts. Keep an eye on our social media feeds for details, but if you’ll be attending, swing by the REUTS Booth and say hi. 😉
